John Stanley - Retail Guru

John Stanley is a coach, consultant, author, speaker and trainer. He has been described as the 'Retail Guru' and he has also been described as the leading horticultural consultant in the world today. That is because his skills in perishable retailing : food, plants, flowers and pets, anything that cannot be put on a shelf and ignored , in fact, apply equally to all fields of retailing . That specialist skill translates easily across all retail industries including library and tourism.

John was voted one of the fifty most powerful and influential people in the United Kingdom in 2008.

Entrepreneur of the Year

In 2009 John was voted Western Australian Entrepreneur of the Year and his business, John Stanley Associates, was voted as the Western Australian Business of the Year for Education and Training in 2009.

Consultant and Coach

He is commonly engaged to review overall business management, store layout, visual merchandising, marketing, branding, image analysis and customer relationship management. John is brought in to advise on where changes need to be made in order for the business to increase profit, professionalism, patronage or turnover. Many of his clients have gone on to win industry awards under John's coaching.

John is a prolific author, having authored several industry specific books, including the best-selling retail management book 'Just About Everything a Retail Manager Needs to Know' and his customer service book 'Think FOR Your Customer'.
